Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than ten are valued at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just depict the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as 5 gives a value of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card may be played depending on the following protocols:
- If the gambler or banker has a score of eight or nine, the two players stand.
- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores wins. Successful bets on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pays 8 to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is an awful bet as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are far better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)
When done correctly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Monitoring of old outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most common and probably most successful method is the one-3-two-6 technique. This tactic is deployed to increase payout and controlling risk.
Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
