Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only portray the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five results in a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or nine, each players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie by and large pay 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Still, odds are exceedingly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When played smartly, baccarat offers generally good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of prior results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-two-6 method. This schema is used to build up payouts and limiting risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
