Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than ten are of their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they simply symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as 5 gives a score of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the following codes:

- If the player or banker has a score of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. abstain from wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are significantly better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Monitoring of old results on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful method is the one-three-two-six method. This tactic is employed to accentuate winnings and cutting back risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
