Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are of their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely represent the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven as well as five produces a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of eight or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie by and large pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties happen less than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Regardless odds are considerably better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

When played accurately, baccarat presents generally good odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of past conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and probably most successful method is the one-three-2-six method. This plan is deployed to accentuate winnings and lowering risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
