Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are give a value of their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they just represent the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven and five produces a score of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be given depending on the following regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pay out 8 to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties will occur less than one every 10 hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. However odds are significantly better – nine to one versus eight to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of past conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful technique is the one-3-2-six concept. This tactic is employed to amplify wins and cutting back risk.

commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
